I feel like I’ve already talked so much about what’s in this update that it feel strange to reiterate it again. But there are a few notes worth making and I’ll summarize the rest for anyone who is just checking in now.

New content:

• About 14,000 words of new story, mostly for Elsie’s chapter 2 event
• Around 30 new backgrounds (not including variations) replacing most of the old backgrounds and adding new ones for Elsie’s content
• 8 new side character silhouettes
• A fully rendered sprite for Cailean’s brother, Tremaine
• An unnecessary quantity of camera movement

You’ll notice when you play Elsie’s update that there’s often a lot more movement on screen as the camera and sprites move around. We’re very proud of how much work we’ve put into this!

Because it’s easy to click through these sequences before they’re complete, my recommendation is to find a comfortable Text Speed and Auto Advance speed and set the game to play on Auto to get the best experience. This isn’t required; the game is perfectly playable without it!

There are still places that might be buggy, so let us know if you notice anything odd while you’re playing! Screenshots or videos are always helpful for this. In particular, we’re keeping an eye out for:

• Broken backgrounds (background too zoomed in/out, not meeting the edges of the screen, seems to be wrong background, etc.)
• Weird expression changes or expressions that stay the same for an abnormal amount of time
• Broken game logic (like if you can’t progress when it seems like you should be able to)
• Weird camera behavior

I also feel the need to also add a mild content warning for Elsie’s update: This chapter involves meeting some of Elsie’s family, and there are scenes that some players may find a bit tense or uncomfortable. If you’re extremely sensitive to that kind of thing, this may be something to keep in mind. You can always ask in our discord if you need further details on what to expect in a particular event.
