We wanted to get this released earlier today, but I was shoving in last-minute expression changes and camera work. It’s my fault, I’m the problem. And then Val was shoving in last-minute camera fixes. Val is also the problem.

I think we’re still not entirely satisfied and some stuff may still be broken, so please let us know if you see anything!

Particularly we’re looking for:

• Broken backgrounds (background too small/large, not meeting the edges of the screen, seems to be wrong background, etc.)
• Weird expression changes or expressions that stay the same for an abnormal amount of time
• Broken game logic (like if you can’t progress when it seems like you should be able to)
• Weird camera behavior (not involving the skip button or clicking too fast! Those are known issues)

As you may have already seen in my update post on the public version last week, this update is CHONKY. We’re at just under 59,000 words total in the game now, with Elsie’s update clocking in somewhere around 14,000 (I don’t know the precise number anymore because I made too many edits while in-engine). We have a BUNCH of new side characters for you (get ready to meet Elsie’s family for an uncomfortable family dinner! Yay! Who says games are for escapism?* Psh. ) and please check out all your old favorite haunts because pretty much every single background in the game has been replaced with updated versions that hopefully match the style a little better. Seriously, there’s like fifty new backgrounds if you count all the variations (thirty if you don’t).

Also, while this update is primarily for Elsie content, we do invite you to replay Cailean’s ch2 event as well! We’ve added the sprite for his brother, Tremaine, so you can get the full experience of him threatening to eat you :D
